Managing stress with virtual reality

Stress at work affects us all and can have severe consequences for our mental and physical health. The negative effects of stress cause high costs for the economy and a great burden for the healthcare system.
What potential do artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) offer in detecting and managing stress? An interdisciplinary research team at the Mobiliar Lab for Analytics at ETH Zurich is investigating this. Employees are supported by a digital stress management intervention, which includes an early warning system - developed in laboratory experiments at ETH and validated with employees at the workplace.
The Lab is a joint initiative of ETH Zurich and Mobiliar and conducts research on improving digital interactions using artificial intelligence and new technologies. Mobiliar supports the research as part of its social commitment.
Visit our interactive multimedia event: With the support of VR, you can try out a method for stress management, we will present current research results on the topic and give you practical tips for coping with stress.
